Placing an Order - Information for New Customers

Thank you for choosing to order with A & N Frozen Foods. Before continuing to our order page, please take a minute to read our basic delivery / collection and payment information. (I know there is a lot but you will only have to read it the once!)

Deliveries are always on Thursdays. For delivery on a specific Thursday, you need to have placed your order and payment must be cleared by 6pm on the Tuesday before. This gives us enough time to package up and despatch your order so that it leaves us as late as possible on the Wednesday for delivery before 12 noon on Thursday. Any orders received after 6pm on the Tuesday or which were placed in time but payment has not gone through until after 6pm, will not be despatched until the following Wednesday (8 days later).

There are areas of the British Isles (mainly Ireland, Offshore Scotland and other islands) which we are unable to deliver to. To find out if you live in one of these areas, please click here.

Cost of delivery

We do not wish to make any money out of delivering your order. Other companies may charge £5 or £10 for delivery, some may be free but you need to remember that they make their delivery money by adding their costs to the prices of your mice/rats. We do not do this. Our mice and rats are the lowest prices around but we do need to pass the costs of delivering on to you.

We have two delivery box sizes so our delivery costs vary between £20 and £24 depending on which size box we need to use.  In placing an order with us you will need to expect to pay £24. If we can fit your order into the smaller box we will only charge you £20.

Our small box will hold approximately 400 medium mice and our larger one holds about 600 medium mice.

If you are now thinking “How much!!” may I please ask you to do one thing – work out how much money you are saving on your mice/rats first? If you have saved £10 on your mice, then our delivery is actually only costing you £10-£14 - I hope that makes sense!!

Very large orders – unfortunately we are still trying our best to come up with a good solution to keeping the cost down for delivering very large orders. If the order does not fit into your larger £24 box, at present you will either need to collect your order or pay an additional £15 for the second box.

In order to ensure that your order is still frozen on delivery, we recommend that your minimum order size is the equivalent to 200 medium mice. We reserve the right to refuse any orders which we believe will not stay frozen.

Payment

We accept payment by cheque, most major credit/debit cards and Paypal. (All orders will be held until the date which funds have cleared before acceptance).

If you have placed your order via the internet, we will email you a payment request through Paypal.

Standard Delivery Terms

•In placing an order with us, you must understand that we expect you to have made arrangements to receive the order. We can instruct our couriers to leave the parcel in a place of your choice (e.g. Porch or shed), however, overall responsibility for leaving the parcel anywhere other than with you at your address is completely as your own risk. We will not accept liability for any orders which go ‘missing’ due to being left in an unattended area at your request.

•We do not accept any liability for goods which have thawed out due to you being unavailable to receive your order or miss the driver.

•As we have limited stock, all orders are accepted on a first come, first served basis.

•All orders are automatically sent on a Next Day before 12noon service. Other services are available (before 10am and before 9am) at your request and at extra cost. Please ask for details.

•We reserve the right to postpone delivery of any orders which are placed during extreme weather conditions e.g. Heat, deep snow.
